Frequently Asked Questions
Please browse our FAQs below.
Account Info
Can I share my login credentials with family or friends?
While sharing of the account is permitted with your spouse or children, we ask that you do not share it with someone outside of your household.
When will my transcripts/progress from the previous site be reflected on the new site?
All transcripts and progress from the previous website should be reflected on your new account on biblicalevangelism.com. If you know you previously completed a lesson that now shows as “Incomplete,” it is likely because of the new online quiz functionality, but we are able to update this for you if you already answered the questions “offline.” If you need a point of reference to find a certain lesson, visit the Curriculum Overview or the Lesson PDF Downloads page and you’ll have direct access to continue learning at your own pace here on the new website.
What if I don’t have access to the email associated with my online student account?
No problem! Just complete the “Email Change Request Form,” and we’ll update your account. Then you can reset your password privately and securely using the new email address.
Registration
Can I “gift” enrollment to a friend?
Great idea! Let us know when you register what name and email address we should use for the online access.
Does registration grant access to every course?
Yes, once you register to become a student, you will have full access to every lesson and course we offer from the school.
Graduation
Is there a graduation ceremony?
While there is no “on-location” ceremony for graduation, we are pleased to send each SoBE graduate a duo-tone Evidence Bible and Graduation Certificate upon completion of the graduation requirements.
Do I have to complete the material within a certain timeframe?
Not at all. Study at your own pace. You won’t lose access to the lessons. Each lesson takes about 20-30 minutes (depending on how in-depth you study it), and the entire library of lessons is designed to be completed in four to six months.
Curriculum
Is there a recommended order in which to complete the courses/lessons?
While you can work on any course at any time, we recommend and encourage you to start with our first 5 foundational courses: Biblical Evangelism, Using the Law in Evangelism, The Salvation Message, Staying Focused, and Reaching the Lost. Then, you can choose to follow the Curriculum Overview (which has been intentionally prepared to work through in order) or “jump around” and complete courses that interest you the most.
Is there a list somewhere of the original 101 lessons?
Yes! Visit the Curriculum Overview or the Lesson PDF Downloads page and you’ll have direct access to continue learning at your own pace here on the new website.
Please note that the 101 lessons previously available on the School of Biblical Evangelism have been shuffled a bit and organized into courses (view the Curriculum Overview). On the Lesson PDF Downloads page, we’ve included the updated numbers and provided a direct link to view the lesson online as well as the link to download the PDF version of that lesson. If you have been working your way through the lessons one-by-one and are wanting to pick up from where you left off, please see that list for a direct link to the lesson online as well as a direct link to the PDF download available to students when logged in.
Where can I download the lessons in PDF format?
Please visit the Lesson PDF Downloads page to download each lesson as a PDF.
Where can I see my transcripts/progress?
Your progress through each course is available in the My Courses & Quizzes tab in your account. You can “expand” the course you are interested in by clicking the arrow next to the course title (screenshot).
Can I see a sample lesson?
Yes, experience a couple of sample lessons by clicking on the topics below:
Can I print the lessons and work on them offline?
Absolutely! Easily print off nicely formatted copies of a lesson for your Bible study group, or you might save an entire lesson to your computer, and then email it to a friend. If you like, save all the lessons to your computer and work on them while you’re offline. They are available on the Lesson PDF Downloads page to registered students.
How much time is required to complete each lesson/course?
Each lesson takes about 20-30 minutes (depending on how in-depth you study it), and the entire library of lessons is designed to be completed in four to six months.
How many lessons are there?
There are currently 101 lessons across 15+ courses. In addition to the 101 comprehensive lessons, there are 45 audio lessons and 5 video lessons, which vary in length.
Is there a way to reach out to other students to talk about evangelism?
Yes! The School of Biblical Evangelism Facebook Group exists to be a forum of discussion and edification for current and graduated students of the school.
Quizzes
Where are my answers to the quiz questions saved?
To review your saved answers from each quiz attempt, visit the My Courses & Quizzes tab in your account and “expand” the course you are interested in by clicking the arrow next to the course title (screenshot). If you have completed any quizzes, they will appear in the quizzes section. Click the “statistics” icon () to open the questions and view your answers for that quiz attempt. We hope to have a way for you to easily download and save your answers offline in the near future, but in the meantime, they will be safely stored in your online account.
Can I retake the quiz if I missed an answer?
Yes! Each time you take a quiz, your answers are recorded and saved with that specific attempt. That means that if you “retake” a quiz (perhaps to bump up that score!), each question will need to be answered again as it is considered a new attempt. But you can retake a quiz as many times as you like.
Do I have to finish the quiz in one sitting?
No. You can come back later and finish. When you do, instead of a “Start Quiz” button, you’ll see a “Resume Quiz” button, which will let you pick up from where you left off.
Can I skip a question and come back to review it later?
Yes. Click the “Review Question” button to mark the question for review. It will turn yellow and you can return to review it after answering the other questions.
Are my answers graded? Can I “fail” the quiz?
The questions following each lesson are designed to help you better recall the lesson content rather than to prove your mastery of the content. The “Short Answer” questions type are not graded, but the “Multiple/Single Choice” and “Fill In the Blank” type do show whether your answers were correct or incorrect. You cannot “fail” the quiz, but if you would like to retake it, please see our other FAQ about where your answers from each quiz attempt are saved so you can reuse them for a later attempt.
Do I have to take every quiz again on the new site if I previously completed them (manually) on the old site?
Thankfully, no! Just let us know which quizzes you previously completed on the old site and we will update your online account accordingly.
